Fred Latala
Director, Data Center Migration
Fred Latala joined Forsythe in 1999 and brings more than 30 years of experience in IT. During his tenure at Forsythe, Latala has focused primarily on data center infrastructure and the discipline of data center migrations. He has worked on data center migration projects with companies from all major industries.
As the Director of Data Center Migration services, Latala oversees a practice focusing on highly-choreographed events that require rigorous business analysis and detailed planning. He is responsible for Forsythe’s overall data center migration strategy, vision, best-practice modeling and the quality of solutions delivered. He also manages Forsythe’s relationships with key data center migration partners including EMC, Hewlett-Packard, IBM and Sun Microsystems.
Prior to joining Forsythe, Latala held leadership positions with Coors Brewing Company, Sears Technology Services, Citicorp and Advanced Systems Applications (PMSC). In his nine years at Coors, Latala served as Director of IT Infrastructure and as Director of Manufacturing IT. Latala also represented Coors Brewing Company on numerous industry panels including the Microsoft Executive Advisory Board and the Gartner Group SAP Best Practices Panel.
A thought leader in data center migration best practices, Latala has authored many articles on strategic data center migration planning for publications including Data Center Journal, Processor, Data Storage Connection and AFCOM’s The Communiqué.
Latala holds an MBA from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from DePaul University.
